I grew up on a tiny island on Florida’s west coast and lived an idyllic existence during my formative years. However, wanderlust took over soon after graduation from University of South Florida and I was compelled to explore the world and all its wonderful opportunities.
I spent the late 70s and early 80s in Nashville working in the investment banking industry. There, I honed my love of business and helped people unravel the myriad of information they needed in order to understand how to properly invest their money. When my job got downsized in the mid-80s, I took a left turn in my career and became a music critic for a local publication. From there, my opportunities expanded which allowed me to open a music booking agency and management company where I launched bands into the national spotlight. Although the business paradigm was different, my focus of helping people always remained paramount in my professional relationships. I am a people person first and foremost.
When I moved to Asheville in 2002, I got my real estate license. The first open house I ever attended was one held by Susan Lodato. Of course, she was showcasing a log cabin for her sellers and, during breaks between visitors, she kindly entertained every question I had about my new industry. Her intellectual generosity impressed me so much that I kept track of her career. When she and Suzanne Smith opened Asheville 4 Seasons Realty, I secretly harbored a desire to work for these women and made the move to their company in September, 2011. I am looking forward to being part of this dynamic company while continuing to guide buyers and sellers through the real estate process.
