Real Estate Representation was designed to explain the various levels of care that consumers can expect to receive during a real estate transaction. In other words, it explains whose team the real estate agent plays on…it may not always be what you would expect. “Working with Real Estate Agents” is a form that has been prepared by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Every consumer, who is involved in or is considering becoming involved in, a real estate transaction, will be asked to read and sign this form. It is NOT a contract- it is simply an informational document that each real estate agent is required, by law, to give to a consumer at their first substantial meeting. It benefits everyone and for real estate agents- it is the law.
