There are all different approaches to home staging. For properties that are empty- that’s an easy one. By adding a minimal amount of furnishings to the main rooms in the house, buyers can more readily judge room sizes and can actually sit and “relax” on the sofa in the living room, thus making it easy to see themselves living there.

Once you have prepared your home for getting it on the market by doing a thorough cleaning, make any needed repairs and have de-cluttered and staged, you should be ready to list your house and get it “on the market”. You will probably have discussed with your agent what the process is for showings- how much time do you want to have before a showing, and what, if any special preparations will be needed- pets, children, aging parents, etc.
