Like so many small businesses, Asheville 4 Seasons Realty grew from a need to do more. Susan Lodato and Suzanne Smith shared the desire to be able to grow their own business and to provide “over the top” service. By combining the best from their past affiliation with large franchised firms with their own unique blend of personal client care, Asheville 4 Seasons became a reality. The warm inviting W Asheville office reflects their commitment to the local community & to becoming your partner in a lifetime of real estate.

I’ve been a resident of the Asheville area since 1991, having relocated from NJ and appreciate living here more each day.
My previous career of over 25 years was in the Logistics field, but decided after living here for a while, I needed a new adventure in my life so….
My real estate career began in Asheville, and along the way have earned a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate of The REALTORS Institute (GRI),Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) and NAR Green Sustainable Property designations. I was also the 2008 President of the Western North Carolina chapter of The Women's Council of Realtors and founding member.
Having a background in log home construction, it seems only natural to specialize in the marketing of existing log and timber frame homes. But, there is such a variety of architectural styles in Asheville, I’ve come to love them all. A few years ago I moved to a maintenance free community that allows me to enjoy my “free” time. From there I have become the resident expert of these types of condos and townhouses. I have shifted my focus on the listing side as a seller’s agent and Suzanne handles the buyers’ side which she excels at.
My clientele is generally the "Baby Boomer" generation that is looking for that special place to call home. I enjoy meeting and working with folks from all walks of life and calling them friends not just clients when it’s all said and done.
Outside of real estate my husband and I enjoy spending time exploring "off the beaten path" places in WNC. I have been involved in our community as a member of the Buncombe County Nursing Home Advisory Council; helping the elderly is near and dear to my heart. We are also the proud pet-parents to three rescue cats- Smokie, Prissy and Coco.

Originally from Florida and having worked my way so far north that I was just an hour south of the Canadian border, I feel as though I have found my way “home”, among the peaceful mountains in Western North Carolina. Along that way I spent a few years in Texas, 18 years in the DC area and 13 years in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Having been a small business owner for many years as well as a Real Estate Broker in northern New Hampshire, I feel my greatest strength lies in my sincere desire to help my clients and customers achieve their goal. Having a “don’t worry, we’ll get there” approach to their needs and objectives has served me well, regardless of the venue.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio I happily became a “damned yankee” over 30 years ago. Before discovering the Asheville area, I had previously lived in Colorado, Florida, and for a brief and cold period, Wisconsin. In the end, it was our fair mountains that captured my heart and had me calling WNC home.
Living here has been a beautiful and rewarding experience. I have raised two sons in Asheville. The eldest is an architect and the youngest is a master carpenter. Both reside in North Carolina and have a great appreciation for this area’s architectural landscape. It is no surprise then that I entered real estate. When the three of us are together, our conversations are quite often of house plans, square footage, walls being taken out and bathrooms being added.
Additionally, my youngest son has given me a special treasure in life – a granddaughter named Katie. Katie has been known to join me on the tennis courts, in the garden, sewing a new sun dress and in the kitchen fixing up her favorite, pesto pizza!
Being part of a new business venture that is not only committed to the local community but is a part of the community is exciting and meaningful. I look forward to working with Suzanne and Susan and making this venture the most successful and rewarding experience of my real estate career.

Originally form upstate NY, my husband and I lived in Sedona, AZ for nine years before discovering Asheville while on a vacation. We fell in love with the area immediately and moved here in 2002.
I have always worked with people--first as an elementary school teacher, and for more than 25 years as a registered nurse. I retired from nursing about 5 years ago and decided to pursue another interest--real estate. I have previously been associated with a large, franchised agency, and am now very pleased to be with Asheville 4 Seasons Realty! I am an Accredited Buyer's Representative and especially enjoy helping buyers find just the right home for them. Listening and communication are some of the best skills a realtor can have and I've been developing these for years in all of my work. I'll continue to use these skills to help buyers find the home of their dreams. Asheville 4 Seasons Realty offers the opportunity to be my very best as a Realtor. It is a supportive environment that allows me to excel in my service to our clients.
I love spending time with my family and my husband and I are so fortunate that our daughter and son and their spouses have also re-located here in the Asheville/Hendersonville area. I enjoy my little dog, Mindy, gardening, aqua fitness classes, reading, kayaking on nearby lakes, and volunteer work with hospice.
Although I "retired" from nursing, I have continued my interest in health care. I am actively involved with Healing Touch, a complementary, integrative energy therapy which facilitates and supports the healing of mind, body, and spirit.

Where to begin? Moved to Asheville in the spring of 2007 with my wife Candi. We both got good jobs, me as an architect and Candi as a paralegal. Next we bought a new car and even our new home - with help from Suzanne. We even had a baby in August of 2008 - by the way she is the good looking one in that picture.
Then...Pop!
There goes the economy and I am one of the many who is looking for a new opportunity. Several months and about a thousand diapers later and I am here working on the ground floor of this great new enterprise - Asheville 4 Seasons Realty. I am looking forward to helping Susan and Suzanne build this business from the ground up. We are focusing our energies on helping our clients fulfill their dreams in a lifetime of real estate - through patience, perseverance and amazing customer service. Who knows - I might even get my license.
